do we stop playing games because we get old, or get old because we stop playing games?

Tau Crisis suits
Got 4 suits painted up, really happy with the red on them. They still need some detailing and tidying up but are certainly good enough for tabletop.

Tau Fire warriors
Two six man teams painted, the symbols on the shoulder pads need reworking but overall am happy with the red an black scheme, nice and simple and should look good on the crisis suits and other units

40K Deathwatch team - painted
Got my Deathwatch team painted. They will do perfectly as Sternguard veterans (elite choice) in 40K, as well as being damn useful if I ever run the Deathwatch RPG.
I think the grey highlights came out well, and look good on the black armour. The left shoulder pads could maybe do with another black wash to tone them down a little.
The Salamander & Black Templar pads need a bit more work, as the transfer backing is slightly visible, might try some gloss varnish then some matt to reduce the shine.
for the greater good, more Tau assembled
Got more Tau put together, 4 Crisis suits and the big boy itself - the Riptide. Magnetised all the weapon mounts so they can be swapped as needed, just need to start painting them!
lots of options, main gun can be fitted on L or R arm, shield generator attaches to either, and secondary weapons on the top of the jet pack
Heavy burst cannon, missile pods & shield generator
Ion accelerator, fusion guns and shield generator
Almost the full force, just need to assemble the deviflish APC to transport the troops
Size comparison. The riptide towers over my usual marine forces, I guess that just makes it a bigger target!

Tau forces
Started to assemble my recently acquired Tau minis, Commander Farsight, XV88 and some fire warriors. The weapons are magnetised on the XV88, have got some crisis suits to assemble as well later and they will have magnetised weapons as well
