do we stop playing games because we get old, or get old because we stop playing games?

AvP has delivered, is it a christmas miracle?!?!??!
Got home today and found a delivery note from UPS, wasn't expecting a delivery. Went and picked it up and it was quite a large box with a smaller one attached, very perplexed by it...
Got back home and cut it open, well I am very surprised! The Prodos AvP kickstarter has finally delivered!!!!!!!!!!
I am so surprised I'll say it again, Prodos have delivered the AvP kickstarter, which I originally backed 24 November 2013 with an estimated delivery of May 2014. Having delivered 19 December 2015 its only 19 months overdue.
I wouldn't have minded the overrun if Prodos had communicated openly with the backers about the delays, and hadn't sold the games & minis at retail before delivering to all backers.
The package has an apology letter and coupon for 25% off when/if I order from the Prodos website. I doubt I will order anything else from them, as given the delays and the way they have treated backers I am not sure I want to give them any more of my money.

Last night on earth miniatures & more hormagaunt progress
Hormagaunts, hormagaunts everywhere I look.
More progress on the horde (90+), base colours done on the flesh and carapace plates. Still got the claws to basecoat. Then a wash or two and they should be tabletop ready!
Last night on earth, heroes and zombies. The minis are soft plastic so nice and durable when packed in game box, but makes it hard to get the mould lines off. Still need to finish the hair on the heroes but am happy with how they have turned out so far

Space Hulk genestealers
Finally got round to finishing my Space Hulk genestealers. Went with the classic purple/blue scheme.
Have based them on 40mm clear Perspex bases, as the minis are very unstable. Being 40mm they will perfectly on the SH board tiles, and should look blend in nicely on a regular tabletop.

Seeing red...
Started on the Space Hulk terminators, most of the base colours are blocked in, still lots of details to be done on each of them.
With at least 3 colours on each of them I guess they are tabletop ready...

Seeker missiles and space hulk
Magnestised some seeker missiles for my tau piranhas, easier than trying to remember which one has fired and how many, and better than blu tacking them to the mini
Got a copy of the recent release of Space Hulk, started assembly and did some test paint schemes

Descent minis and Tau stealth suits
Got the last of the Descent monsters painted up, all that's left is 3 heroes and the whole set will be finished!
Also finished the de-cloaking effect on my Tau stealth suits, am happy with the look of them overall

Descent Shadow dragon number 2
Painted up the second of the shadow dragons from the Descent journeys in the dark game. Very happy with how it came out!

Descent 2 heroes
Painted up 5 of the heroes from Descent 2nd edition. The minis are good, lots of detail on them, but suffer from being made of soft plastic like so many boardgame minis, which can make removal of mould/flash lines difficult.

Descent 2 boardgame minis
Finally finished some minis from the Descent 2 boardgame, so they are now off my 'to do' list, freeing up some space on the never ending list for more 1/2 painted minis.
Am particularly happy with how the elemental looks, was well worth the time spent getting the flames to look right. This hot-lead fire theory web page was very helpful, as it is too easy to highlight it the 'wrong' way, putting the lighter highlights at the top.
The first 3 photos were taken outside, gives a better idea of the colours on the minis.
